Unless otherwise indicated, all course notes, lecture material, audio, video, text, photographs and graphics (“Materials”) made available to students, staff and other approved users are owned and controlled by Wits or licensed to Wits. You may use the Materials solely for academic, non-commercial purposes.
The Materials are protected by copyright laws. Any unauthorised use, reproduction, publication, modification, display, performing, transmitting or distribution of the Materials is strictly prohibited and constitutes serious misconduct in terms of the University’s Rules, regulations, policies and processes, and will result in disciplinary action. Unauthorised use of the Materials constitutes an infringement of copyright, in terms of the Copyright Act No. 98 of 1978 as amended. Any person making unauthorized use of the Materials knowing that copyright subsists in the Materials shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to the payment of a fine or imprisonment.
